Product & engineering case study

Readiness is a date question, not a checkbox.

OnCueProof is a multi-role evidence workspace for small live-event teams. It replaces email-and-spreadsheet chasing with one answer: what will still be valid when the show opens?

Tenant-scoped domain

Shows, subjects, requirements, evidence, reviews, and activity are scoped to one organisation at every query boundary.

Date-aware readiness

The engine compares approval and validity against both today and the complete local show window, including overnight events.

Private file storage

Uploaded PDFs and images use opaque R2 keys. The database remains the authorization source before any object is returned.

Relational edge data

Cloudflare D1 stores normalized show, requirement, document, review, and immutable activity records with indexed tenant lookups.

Role-based workflows

Owner, coordinator, contributor, and external-reviewer personas expose different read, review, upload, and export capabilities.

Auditable decisions

Approvals and rejections append review events instead of overwriting history; rejection reasons are mandatory.

Readiness precedence

One deterministic status for every requirement.

A covering approved replacement can rescue an expiring document; a pending replacement outranks an old expiry; missing required dates remain missing even after approval.

  1. 01

    Waived with reason

  2. 02

    Approved and covers show

  3. 03

    Awaiting review and covers show

  4. 04

    Expires before show

  5. 05

    Already expired

  6. 06

    Rejected or missing

Stack

A full-stack edge application.

React 19, TypeScript, Vinext, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Cloudflare Workers, normalized D1 data, private R2 objects, runtime role enforcement, Vitest golden vectors, CSV export, and print-ready evidence packs.

Scope note

Evidence readiness, not legal advice.

The product makes document gaps and review decisions visible. It never claims that evidence proves legal compliance, and human reviewers remain responsible for approvals and exceptions.
